Accessibility Statement for Nitely

Last Updated: March 8, 2026

Nitely is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone, and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make our app inclusive and usable.

Supported Accessibility Features

Nitely supports the following accessibility features on iPhone:

VoiceOver

All interactive elements including buttons, form fields, selection controls, and bar cards include descriptive accessibility labels, hints, and values. VoiceOver users can navigate the full app experience including authentication, bar submission, preferences, and bar discovery.

Voice Control

All interactive elements are labeled for Voice Control, allowing users to navigate and interact with the app using voice commands.

Larger Text (Dynamic Type)

Nitely uses semantic font styles that scale with your device's text size settings. When you increase the text size in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size, all text in the app scales accordingly.

Dark Interface

The app features a dark-first design with a navy and blue color palette, reducing eye strain in low-light environments. All screens use a dark background with high-contrast text.

Differentiate Without Color Alone

Selection states throughout the app (day-of-week buttons, music genres, amenities, energy levels, social vibes, and preference buttons) display a checkmark icon alongside the color change, so users who cannot distinguish colors can still identify selected items.

Sufficient Contrast

All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratio requirements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text). Our color palette uses light text on dark backgrounds to ensure readability for all users.

Reduced Motion

When "Reduce Motion" is enabled in your device settings, Nitely disables or simplifies animations including background movement, button transitions, coach mark overlays, and cursor blinking. All content remains fully accessible without animation.

Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines for accessibility. Our implementation follows Apple's native SwiftUI accessibility APIs.
